My goal when taking photos was to follow the same pattern of having a focus on architecture on a street, whilst also recreating the iconic self portrait of Vivian Maier.
During the photoshoot, the weather played a crucial element in the outcome of my photos when implementing in Black & White. While incidental, the effect given by the rain created a gritty and realistic effect, complimenting the overall theme.
The majority of the photo's were taken whilst inside of a vehicle. Using that, I leaned into the use of reflection Maier is known for and took photos of the Window Mirror's which along with already having in parts of the street ahead, allowed for the behind to be seen.
Following this initial use of reflection, I then used it to recreate the self portrait with the unique twist of the Window Mirror.
I made sure to still include the same style of reflection photographs using architecture Maier is famous for, with the recent Sunlight complimenting it immensely.
